The HKapitalist is an education consultancy with a mission to provide professional career guidance to students across India. Our services focus on personality development, professional grooming and offer them professional exposure.
We aim to bridge the gap between the students lacking professional skills and the job market. We invest time and expertise in individuals through one-to-one consultations, which helps them to map out their career plans and to build a holistic profile to reach their goals. Our vision is to support 1000 students climbing the ladder of opportunity by the end of June 2018.
What was your motivation behind venturing into this?
When I graduated, I had no resource to develop my soft skills, prepare for my interview and most importantly prepare my self for the right field. I started working in an NGO and meet Ramesh Joshi the founder of The Aashansh Foundation. I was motivated by him, he mentored me and helped me to get groomed by connecting me with professionals who gave me the exposure to the actual professional world. When I was working at the foundation we realized that kids whom we were teaching, they were getting influenced by the youth of the community who were drug addicts, unemployed. We designed a program where designed a program which focused on education for drop out youth, hard skills, soft skills and getting them place with their efforts. Out of 15, we were able to turn 2 as entrepreneurs, 6 got a full-time job. That boost my motivation, but the thirst to get them a perfectly respected and competitive job was the aim. That’s when I took experience at the different organization, managed volunteers which consisted of students from different college and understood what element is lacking in the student lifecycle. That’s when HK was born and a pilot study with 25 students was done before get the revenue generated.
